Deep fried sugar coated toast? Okay, that's interesting. You've peaked my interest.

Well, I've never been disappointed when ever I come here. The place is purely self serve, and not just with the food but with the drinks as well, as a buffet should be. While the selection is not huge for any particular style of food, there is some decent amount of it to choose from. You can literally take a tiny amount from every tray and still have to go back for seconds or thirds just to try it all. That's not including all of their deserts. You have choices ranging from oddities like deep fried sugar toast and deep fried wontons, to more traditional Chinese choices you'd come to expect from a place called Moma Panda like wonton soup, sweet and sour pork, and chicken balls, to more American food like french fries, spaghetti, fried chicken, and various salads and sides. There's even Thai chicken, and freshly cooked fish.

However, if you're more about the quality over quantity (I am a male of choice, myself), you may be disappointed in this respect. While the food isn't bad, it's not like "OMG, I haven't had food THIS good in forever!". It's decent enough, but not spectacular. However, for the price (I believe it's a cheap $10 for lunch), you can't really go wrong with paying that to eat like a god among men and gorge yourself to the point of vomiting. From over eating, not from the taste. As I said, the food isn't bad. Silly humans.

The place is well kept, and VERY spacious. It's definitely not as crammed as some buffets I've been to, which makes the place seem brighter and happier. Ever been to some buffets where the place is so dark it's depressing? Yeah, not this place. As for the service? I've never had a problem, and the ladies that work there have always been fantastic for me.

So, if you tend to fancy having so much food laid out in front of you you don't know what to choose from and don't mind that it's not mind blowingly, taste bud orgasming awesome for for a measly $10, then Moma Panda's your place to go. If you're a quality kind of person, then perhaps this place isn't for you.

Although the décor and setup is decent. The food is NEVER good. They don't refill the buffet fast enough. We went at 7pm (closes at 9), there is film on all the sauces, the meat carving station was empty or and a small end slice left. We pay $15 for dinner (the same price as those who show up at opening time), you should RESTOCK the selection! Staff didn't remove any of our plates while there. We sat by the far wall close to the desert buffet and we could hear the staff in the kitchen laughing and swearing, very unprofessional. Uncle Willies was better.

WHEN HUNGRY FOR A GOOD DOWN-HOME MEAL, DECOR DONT MATTER....No loud music, friendly staff, great variety- from potatoes/gravy, to spagetti plus Asian menu ....best value for my food dollars.

Mgmt. responds to Niloo Vakili...Hi Niloo, Regarding your posting to Google reviews... I remember your visit very well and I still maintain that you are NOT entitled to a cash refund simply because you found a hair on your plate after dining with us for over an hour.I see that you are still upset.... We served approx. 190 othern [patrons on that day(close to our daily average) --- only your sister had a problem.(for the record, We offered to call and provide emergency service when you called from home )It your civic duty to report health problems of the gravity that you indicated to Provincial Health Authorities, not only to simply post a rant on Google! Our solicitor invites you to bring documentation of your Emergency visit (ie. doctor`s report) Please do so at our Kelowna location at your earliest convienience.

I was craving a Chinese buffet and went to Mama Panda's. The food was nice and hot, and the hostesses very friendly - too bad the food didn't match the goodwill of the staff. The Chinese selections were ho-hum and the tastes uninspiring. The Western selections were steamed to death and completely blah. It's a relatively inexpensive fill-your-belly meal, but there is nothing delightful about the place. I will not be returning.
